Volkswagen ID.7 On Stage
The serial version of the VOLKSWAGEN ID.7 has been unveiled in China, with patent photos of the car appearing online. The electric D-class sedan will be presented on April 18 at the Shanghai Auto Show. The new VOLKSWAGEN ID.7 is the serial version of the ID.Aero concept car and will replace the VW Passat sedan.
It has already been discontinued, with the new generation of the popular model only being offered as a station wagon. The Volkswagen ID.7 has a streamlined design with a sloping arch-like roof and high window line, and its slanted headlights are connected by a diode insert, while the taillights stretch across the width of the body. The car is built on the MEV electric platform and is slightly larger than the Passat. The Volkswagen ID.7's interior features a narrow virtual instrument panel, a large 15-inch touchscreen, and augmented reality projection on the windshield.
The sedan will debut with a 204-horsepower rear-wheel-drive version with an 82 kWh battery, with a maximum speed limited to 155 km/h and a range of up to 700 km. The price of the Volkswagen ID.7 will be around $55,000.
