Tesla shareholders have approved an unprecedented payout package for Elon Musk – nearly $1 trillion, Bloomberg reports. More than 75% of shareholders voted in favor. But there's a catch!
Under the terms of the program, Musk will receive the entire package only if he increases Tesla's market capitalization to $8.5 trillion, launches mass production of robotaxis and Optimus humanoid robots, and works at the company for at least 7.5 years.
This is the largest potential bonus in corporate history – if all targets are met, Musk will become the first person with a personal fortune exceeding $1 trillion.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -

The electric ride-hailing vehicle, designed to operate fully under Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) system, marks a major step toward the company’s autonomous mobility vision. Recent reports suggest that production lines and testing facilities at GigaTexas are being prepared for the CyberCab’s next phase, with the project entering its final validation stage. Once production ramps up, the CyberCab is expected to play a key role in Tesla’s planned robotaxi network, potentially revolutionizing the urban transportation landscape.MorePost is under moderationStream item published successfully. Tesla has officially confirmed plans to release a more affordable electric car, which will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2025. This was announced during the presentation of financial results for the second quarter. Instead of a separate model, which many expected (it was conditionally called Model 2), the company will most likely simplify the existing Model Y and release it in a basic configuration at a significantly reduced price.
The cost of the new version, according to sources, will start at about $ 36,000 - this is almost 20% cheaper than the current basic Model Y. This step makes the electric car more accessible to a wider audience, especially considering possible subsidies in the United States.
Production of test copies started in June 2025, and large-scale production is scheduled for the fall. Tesla is already reconfiguring production lines to prepare for demand for the budget version.
What will be changed to reduce the price? Presumably, many elements will be simplified: the interior will have fabric seats and no decorative lighting, the audio system will be basic, and the seat adjustment will be mechanical. It is also assumed that a less expensive lithium-iron-phosphate battery will be used (this type is already used in some Model 3 and Y in China) and a simpler electric motor.
Tesla is not only betting on price. The simplified Model Y will support FSD (Full Self-Driving, fully autonomous driving), and in the future, it will also participate in the Robotaxi service (owners will be able to "share" the car with other users for a fee when they are not using it themselves - the car will fulfill orders on its own). In theory, this should reduce the "real" cost of ownership - that is, the car will not only drive, but also earn money.
This approach allows Tesla to save time and resources: instead of creating a new platform from scratch, the company uses a proven design and adapts it to the market.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -

Tesla has unveiled the Model Y L, a long-wheelbase, six-seat version of its popular electric SUV, set to launch in China this autumn. Measuring 4,976 mm long with a 3,040 mm wheelbase, the Model Y L is 179 mm longer and 44 mm taller than the standard Model Y, offering a spacious third row. Powered by dual motors (142 kW front, 198 kW rear) with a combined 456 hp and an LG-sourced NMC battery, it delivers a CLTC-certified range of up to 688 km. Priced around 400,000 yuan ($55,710), the Model Y L targets China’s family-oriented SUV market, competing with rivals like the Huawei AITO M8 and Li Auto L8. Production has begun at Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory, with deliveries expected in September 2025.

“You will also be able to add your car to the Tesla shared fleet just by tapping a button on the Tesla phone app and have it generate income for vou while you're at work or on vacation, significantly offsetting and at times potentially exceeding the monthly loan or lease cost.
This dramatically lowers the true cost of ownership to the point where almost anyone could own a Tesla. Since most cars are only in use by their owner for 5% to 10% of the day, the fundamental economic utility of a true self-driving car is likely to be several times that of a car”Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Tesla plans to double production in Germany despite falling sales
Tesla continues to increase production at its Berlin plant despite the difficult market situation and falling sales. In April, the company's sales in Europe fell by 49%, which is due to growing competition and political reactions to the actions of Elon Musk. However, Tesla, as Bloomberg reports, is not abandoning its plans to expand the plant, which has produced 500,000 cars this year.
At the moment, the German Gigafactory produces about 5,000 Model Y per week, but Tesla aims to double this number. The Berlin plant is going to produce new models and expand production capacity, despite the objections of environmental activists who consider the plant too harmful to the environment.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully.
Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Tesla has demonstrated the impressive capabilities of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system by taking it to one of the most chaotic traffic junctions in Europe — the Parisian Place de l'Etoile near the Arc de Triomphe. This is where 12 busy streets converge, and the traffic resembles organized chaos rather than strict traffic rules
FSD technology is still not available for mass use in Europe and requires human attention. However, Tesla is actively testing the system in Paris and Amsterdam, moving towards certification. A special feature of Tesla's approach is the rejection of lidars and 3D maps: the autopilot relies exclusively on visual data from cameras and the work of a neural network. The company claims to have already collected more than 5.7 billion kilometers of “real-world” data, of which 3.4 billion were collected as of 2024.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. A Tesla with FSD autopilot was shown for the first time in Australia
Tesla has launched testing of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) system in production right-hand drive cars on Australian roads for the first time. However, despite paying 10,100 Australian dollars, the technology is not yet available to ordinary drivers — we are talking about a closed test.
In a demonstration video, Tesla showed how the FSD system performs a complex “hook turn” maneuver in the center of Melbourne. The driver is behind the wheel, but does not keep his hands on it while the car independently makes a turn. At the same time, the system monitors the person’s attention — even the direction of his gaze is tracked.
FSD is not yet a full-fledged autopilot. The responsibility for driving remains with the human driver, and the system has not yet been officially approved for widespread use in Australia. Unlike the basic Autopilot, FSD is designed for use on highways and in urban conditions.Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream. -
