The Turkish Togg car is getting ready to go on sale, and pre-orders will begin to be accepted this week. It was put into production at the end of 2022. Deliveries of the first electric vehicles will begin from the end of March, and by the end of this year, the manufacturer plans to ship about 20 thousand Togg electric vehicles to customers.
Turkey's 60-year-old automotive dream has come true. Mehmet Fatih Kachir, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, said that Togg will be put up for sale this week. Recall that the first prototype of the electric crossover Togg was presented back in 2019. A little later in the same year, the Turkish brand patented a second model in Europe - an electric sedan, the release date of which is still unknown. The 200 hp rear-wheel drive Togg will be priced at $52,700. The single-engine version will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. Twin - engine with a capacity of 400 hp . it will be 2.8 seconds more dynamic.
The power reserve of the TOGG crossover on a single charge will be up to 500 kilometers, and it will be possible to charge the battery by 80% in half an hour. A decisive step was taken to expand the domestic-made Togg Trugo charging station throughout the country. Companies that are members of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey will be able to make room for the creation of Trugo. Suitable areas will be reported to Togg. Togg will evaluate suitable locations for creating a network of stations. Another condition will also be a proper electrical infrastructure for charging stations. The owner will receive 5 percent of the turnover only when he meets the energy infrastructure.
Mass production began at the end of October, the plant is designed to produce up to 175 thousand cars annually.
