London, July 2026 — Kia has introduced a new Storm trim for its popular midsize electric SUV, the EV5, offering buyers enhanced value and sporty styling.The EV5 Storm combines design elements from the Air and GT-Line variants, featuring body-colored door mirrors, gloss-black wheel arch detailing, exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels, and a striking new Dark Ocean Blue paint option. Inside, it boasts premium black artificial leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a smart power tailgate.
Powered by an 81.4 kWh battery with front-wheel drive, the Storm delivers strong performance while maintaining competitive efficiency. It slots between the GT-Line and GT-Line S trims and is priced from £43,145 (on-the-road in the UK). Orders are now open, with first customer deliveries expected by the end of 2026.
Kia also added all-wheel-drive (AWD) options across the EV5 range, reducing 0-62 mph acceleration to 7.4 seconds.The Storm edition is designed to deliver “more bang for your buck” in the competitive electric family SUV segment. A matching Storm trim has also been added to the gasoline/hybrid Sportage.
