he BYD Great Tang full-size SUV will launch in China in May with BEV and PHEV powertrain variants. Its all-electric modification will offer the flash charging technology and a range of up to 950 km. Other features of the Great Tang include rear-wheel steering and air suspension.

The BYD Great Tang (also known in China as BYD Datang) officially broke cover on March 5 as the brand’s flagship SUV. It is a mass-produced variant of the Dynasty-D concept car revealed at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Previously, both BEV and PHEV variants of this large family driver applied for a sales license in China, exposing core specs.
