Xpeng has begun global mass production of its GX, a six-seat full-size SUV featuring Bosch’s next-generation steer-by-wire system. The system supports L4 autonomous driving and integrates more than 100 functions, marking the first production deployment of L4-capable line-control steering in a model priced below 500,000 yuan (72,463 USD), according to IThome.
Xpeng plans to launch the GX in April or May 2026. The model enters production amid increasing adoption of high-level autonomous systems in premium SUVs.
