  • Great Wall Motor’s (GWM) new Tank 400 plug-in hybrid SUV will start pre-sale on October 21, available in the existing Hi4-T and a newly added Hi4-Z variants. The official unveil was on September 22 in China, featuring a refreshed design and configuration upgrades.
    The Hi4-Z variant uses the same powertrain as the Tank 500 Hi4-Z, consisting of a 2.0T engine and dual P2 and P4 electric motors, providing a fuel consumption of 8.3L/100km. The engine has a maximum power of 185 kW (248 hp) and a peak torque of 380 Nm. The P2 and P4 motors have maximum power of 215 kW (288 hp) and 240 kW (322 hp), respectively. The 59.05 kWh ternary lithium battery pack provides a CLTC pure electric range of 200 km.
    The Hi4-T variant continues to boast a plug-in hybrid system consisting of the same 2.0T engine as the Hi4-Z and an electric motor, providing a fuel consumption of 8.4L/100km. The electric motor generates a maximum power of 120 kW (161 hp). Equipped with a 37.1 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, the CLTC pure electric range is 105 km.
