BYD has introduced a new entry-level trim for the Yuan Up electric SUV in China, priced at 74,900 yuan (approximately $10,400). This trim excludes the advanced "God’s Eye" driver assistance system, offering a more affordable option. The Yuan Up, launched in March 2024, targets young buyers with its compact design and modern features. It comes with a 70 kW or 130 kW motor, two battery options (32 kWh or 45.12 kWh), and a range of 301 km or 401 km (CLTC). Deliveries for the new trim begin in mid-August 2025.
