Royal Enfield's electric sub-brand Flying Flea has officially launched its first motorcycle, the retro-styled C6, in Europe and the UK. Unveiled in Paris on September 16, 2026, the C6 opens for bookings at €5,990 in Europe and £5,300 in the UK, with deliveries beginning in October — marking the brand's first major export push beyond its home market of India.

A Name With Real History
The Flying Flea name isn't a marketing invention — it dates back to Royal Enfield's WD/RE, a lightweight 125cc motorcycle nicknamed the "Flying Flea" that British paratroopers dropped by parachute alongside them during World War II for use once they landed. Royal Enfield revived the name in November 2024 as both a model and a dedicated electric sub-brand, with the C6 and a related S6 model announced as its first products. The bobber-styled C6 leans into that heritage with a low-slung stance, forged-aluminium frame, and a girder-style front fork reminiscent of the original wartime bike.
The C6 first went on sale in Bengaluru, India, in July 2026. According to B. Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors and CEO of Royal Enfield, early Indian riders had already logged more than 100,000 customer-ridden kilometres within three months — response the company is now citing as justification for expanding west.

A Phased, City-First Rollout
Rather than a blanket European launch, Royal Enfield is opening dedicated Flying Flea stores city by city, starting with Paris on launch day, then following into Barcelona, Rome, Berlin, and London. In the UK, distribution runs through Krazy Horse's store in Welling. Govindarajan framed the approach as deliberate: prioritizing a solid sales and service network and charging infrastructure in each city before expanding further, rather than shipping bikes into markets without support in place.
Where It Sits in the Market
At roughly $6,900 at current exchange rates, the C6 isn't the cheapest electric motorcycle on the market, but it undercuts most full-size premium electric bikes considerably while offering distinctive retro styling few rivals match. Its 104 km WMTC range is modest — reflecting the intentionally small, light battery pack that keeps the bike's 124 kg curb weight low — positioning the C6 firmly as an urban and short-commute machine rather than a long-distance tourer. No launch date or pricing has yet been confirmed for the US market, though the Flying Flea website indicates American pricing will follow.
Nearly two years after Royal Enfield first revived the Flying Flea name, the C6 has gone from a wartime nickname and a 2024 announcement to a genuine European retail product with real showrooms and October deliveries — a notable milestone for a legacy motorcycle brand's first serious push into electric two-wheelers outside its home market.
