: New Version for China. BMW has unveiled the extended version of the iX5 Long Wheelbase electric crossover in China. Key features: Range of over 1,000 km (620 mi) according to the Chinese CLTC cycle.
Multiple digital displays: BMW Panoramic Vision, central floating display, passenger screen, and rear BMW Theatre Screen (8K, streaming, gaming).
Increased wheelbase (+130 mm, totaling 3,165 mm) for maximum rear passenger comfort.
Based on the sixth-generation BMW eDrive.
Price and Sales Launch: Sales in China are scheduled to begin in 2027.
Official pricing has not yet been announced (it will be revealed closer to the launch). For comparison, previous long-wheelbase BMW models in China start at approximately 600,000–800,000 yuan, depending on trim level.
The model is aimed exclusively at the Chinese market and is intended to strengthen BMW's position in the premium electric vehicle segment.
