The New Volvo EX90 - 600 Km Range and 5G Inside

SUV Volvo EX90

Volvo Cars has finally introduced the all-electric seven-seater SUV Volvo EX90. Starting with this model, the company plans to produce a new electric car annually to electrify the entire model range. The all-wheel drive Volvo EX90 is equipped with two permanent magnet electric motors providing an output power of 380 kW (517 hp) and 910 Nm of torque.

With a full charge of the 111 kWh battery, the electric car is able to cover a distance of up to 600 km (according to the WLTP cycle). The battery is charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The car supports bi-directional charging technology, which allows you to use the car's battery as an additional source of energy.

The Volvo EX90 electric car contains a basic system based on the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, which provides most functions – from security and multimedia to battery operation. The car is equipped with cameras, radars and a lidar sensor. They will provide a 360-degree view in real time and support the operation of the Pilot Assist driver assistance system. Additional sensors and cameras monitor the driver's gaze and detect drowsiness or inattention. The system will first warn the driver with a special sound signal, which will increase with the aggravation of the situation on the road. If he does not respond to increasingly clear warnings, the car will stop on its own and call for help.

The central screen of the infotainment system has a diagonal of 14.5 inches and provides access to Google services: Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play Store. 5G communication is supported. Thus, you can lock, heat or cool the car interior remotely without leaving home. You should only pass the Google command. The Volvo EX90 is also compatible with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto wireless systems. The owner also has access to a projection display, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with Dolby Atmos technology and 25 speakers, keyless access technology (using a smartphone).
