HongQi E-HS9 6 Specs and Description

Under the Chinese brand Hongqi (“Red Banner”), only limousines for the Chinese government and expensive cars were previously produced, but a few years ago, the parent concern FAW began to develop the crossover segment.

E-HS3, HS5 and HS7 SUVs of different sizes entered the local market one after another, and now the flagship model E-HS9 is ready. And this is an electric car!

No, this is not a competitor to Rolls-Royce or Bentley, although visually the new Hongqi makes such an impression. It’s just that former Rolls-Royce designer Giles Taylor had a hand in creating the design: he was lured away by FAW in 2018. The crossover is made in the same style as the Hongqi H9 sedan: common features are double-deck headlights, a vertical break in the grille and retractable door handles.
