Doroni Aerospace Launches the H1-X eVTOL for Personal Air Mobility at Speeds Up to 120 mph

Doroni Aerospace Launches the H1-X eVTOL

State-of-the-Art H1-X eVTOL for Agile Urban Air Travel

In the burgeoning field of urban air mobility, Doroni Aerospace has emerged from the background with an electrifying announcement: the introduction of the H1-X, its premier eVTOL (electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing) aircraft.

Established in 2016 by the visionary Doron Merdinger, who brings a quarter-century of experience in design, production, and business leadership, Doroni Aerospace has a singular mission: to make sustainable aviation transport universally accessible.

Electrek has closely monitored the development of the H1-X, culminating in its public debut, showcasing an eVTOL that's not just about mobility but also about making a statement in the sky.

Innovative Design Sets the H1-X Apart

During its live reveal, the H1-X was presented in full glory, illustrating how Doroni's approach diverges from the prevailing trend towards larger, air taxi-oriented eVTOLs. Opting for a two-seat configuration, the H1-X incorporates a novel tandem wing setup with integrated propellers – a design choice that significantly reduces the risk of injury without compromising on lift or efficiency.

As the company's CEO eloquently put it during the unveiling, the H1-X symbolizes a stride towards harmonizing mobility freedom with environmental stewardship.

Boasting a weight of 1,850 pounds and a payload capacity of 500 pounds, the H1-X impresses further with its ability to cruise for 40 minutes on a single charge, achieving speeds of up to 120 mph.

FAA Certification and Path to Production

Doroni Aerospace has confirmed the ongoing construction of initial H1-X models for extensive testing later this year, with an eye towards refining the design for mass production. The showcased eVTOL, already approved for flight by the FAA, is on track for mass manufacturing starting in 2026, with each unit priced between $300,000 and $400,000.
