The Chinese Manufacturer Plans to Release Suzuki Jimny Analog
The Chinese automotive company Baojun, owned by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, plans to market a subcompact crossover called Yueye. The novelty is equipped with one electric motor on the rear axle.
When creating Baojun Yueye, the company focused on the iconic Japanese SUV Suzuki Jimny. Yueye got a rather utilitarian body with an angular silhouette. The optics of the electric car are fully LED. Also, the crossover has a fairly wide track by the standards of the class and massive bumpers.
The dimensions of the novelty are as follows: 3381 mm long, 1685 mm wide and 1721 mm high. The wheelbase reaches 2110 mm.
So far, the electric car is equipped with only one 68-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle. The torque is 140 Nm. An all-wheel drive modification is also expected to appear in the future. The battery capacity has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the power reserve without recharging will be about 300 km according to the local CLTC method.
