eCV1 Presented

eCV1

Watt Electric Vehicle (WEV) represents an innovative family of light electric-powered delivery vehicles - eCV1. Their difference is the patented PACES platform - a power structure made of aluminum profiles, into which battery modules are directly integrated. Watt Electric Vehicle (WEV) is a company from the UK.

The solution of using the patented PACES platform optimizes rigidity and increases payload. The curb weight of the chassis with the cab is only 1750 kg. Thus, the eCV1 has the best load capacity in the class of vehicles with a gross weight of 3.5 and 4.25 tons. They also promise a better power reserve. Batteries with a capacity of 110 kW / h will allow you to drive up to 290 miles (464 km) without recharging.

Externally, the eCV1 is very similar to the American electric tractor Tesla Semi, only on a reduced scale. In a British car, the driver also sits in the center of the cab. This layout provides a number of advantages. Firstly, visibility is improved, including at the exit to the side of the road, regardless of which side of the road the car is moving or is parked. Secondly, the central location of the driver's seat allowed the front pillars to be moved back, which reduced the coefficient of aerodynamic drag. The cabin, by the way, can be single, double or triple.

Watt Electric Vehicle plans to produce up to 5,000 ecv1s annually. The machines will be offered in various versions: chassis with cab for body builders, with side platforms and as delivery vans, including integrated ones.
