Alfa Romeo Giulia - 1000 HP Electric Car

Alfa Romeo Giulia EV

Alfa Romeo Giulia will be revived in the form of an electric sports car with a capacity of up to 1000 hp and a power reserve of 700 km. The CEO of the Italian company told about this in an interview the other day. The electric Giulia will appear on the market around the middle of the decade and will become the second electric model of the brand.

The novelty is promised a very cool exterior and less traditional forms. According to Jean-Philippe Imparato (CEO of the company), Giulia will turn into a cross between a sedan and a station wagon. Like all future electric vehicles of the Stellantis alliance, it will receive the STLA platform and an 800 volt electric architecture. The power reserve will reach 700-800 km in the WLTP measuring cycle.

In the basic modification , the electric Giulia will be able to offer approximately 345 hp. A more powerful version of the Veloce is about 790 hp. The hardcore Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolio with a capacity of about 1000 hp has also been confirmed. According to preliminary data, the top version will be all-wheel drive. It is possible that the Giulia Quadrifolio will receive the same power plant as the future Maserati Granturismo Folgoro. The latter has a three-engine (one in front, two in the rear) with a torque vectorization function.

Also, Imparato shared details of the implementation of the brand's electrification strategy, according to which all Alfa Romeo models will be electric until 2027. In 2024, the Brennero electric crossover will enter the market. And the first "clean" Alfa Romeo electric car will appear a year later.

What will it be, a sedan or a crossover? Imparato did not reveal this secret. The premiere of the electric Giulia is scheduled for 2026. It is possible that an electric successor to the compact crossover Stelvio will appear in the same year.
