Huawei Maextro S800: China's Colossal Electric Sedan

Huawei Maextro S800

A New Contender in Luxury Electric Vehicles

Huawei, a name typically associated with cutting-edge technology, is going full throttle into the electric car market with the Maextro S800. This behemoth, co-developed with JAC, marks Huawei's debut in the world of premium automotive manufacturing. Positioned against titans like the Mercedes-Benz Maybach and the Nio ET9, the Maextro S800 is making a bold statement with its impressive stature and performance metrics.

Dimensions That Stun

At a staggering 5,480 mm, the Maextro S800 isn't just large; it's the largest electric sedan on the Chinese market. When you compare it to the Nio ET9's 5,325 mm and the Maybach S-Class's 5,469 mm, you realize this sedan is not playing small. It stretches the boundaries of size into the realm of super-sedan territory, promising passengers a driving experience of unmatched comfort and space.

Power That Thrills

With a staggering horsepower exceeding 1,000, the Maextro S800 is a powerhouse on four wheels. The flagship edition commands a total of 1006 hp, delivered by three electric motors. For those preferring a hybrid flavor, the EREV variant pairs the electric appeal with a 1.5-liter turbo engine, offering 156 hp to complement its electric drive.

Choices for the Discerning Consumer

Potential buyers can choose between a fully electric version (BEV) or a range-extended electric vehicle (EREV). With the latter, the combustion engine serves as a generator to recharge the batteries. This choice in propulsion signifies Huawei's aim to cater to diverse preferences, whether you seek the full electric thrill or desire the security of an increased range.

Battery and Range Excellence

Under the hood lies state-of-the-art CATL batteries, with the EREV variant housing a 63.3 kW h pack. It promises to ferry its occupants between 272 to 371 km purely on its electric power, as per the Chinese CLTC cycle. It isn't just about speed; it's about efficiency and reliability, hallmarks of what people have come to expect from Huawei.

Commanding Market Presence

With pre-orders already gathered since November, keen customers can secure their Maextro for a deposit of 20,000 yuan. Priced between 1 million to 1.5 million yuan, this luxury sedan is manufactured at Huawei's facility in Hefei, and it embodies the ethos of Huawei's HIMA brand family along with its siblings Stelato, Aito, and Luxeed.

Unparalleled Craftsmanship

Beyond its sheer scale and power, the Maextro S800's design reflects the fusion of Huawei's tech prowess with JAC's automotive acumen, creating a symphony of style and innovation. It's more than a car, it's a statement of intent in the automotive industry, redefining what an electric sedan can be.

A Green Future with Luxury

Huawei's venture into automotive reflects a commitment to green mobility. The Maextro S800 is not only a declaration of technological might but also an embodiment of sustainable luxury, bridging the gap between premium automotive experiences and the future of eco-conscious travel.
