Switzerland Is Developing An EV

The Swiss company nanoFlowcell is preparing for production a very unusual electric car QUANTiNO twentyfive. Its peculiarity is that it does not require charging. This is reported on the official website of nanoFlowcell. The Quantino electric car has been developed since 2015.

This is a small four-seater sports car with a fast-paced design and futuristic interior. It is equipped with a 108 hp engine and is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5 seconds and develop 200 km/h.

The highlight of the car is its power reserve of 965 km, which is a record among electric cars. Instead of recharging the battery, you need refueling. The fact is that the new nanoFlowcell Quantino twentyfive is equipped with a very non-standard liquid flow battery. It consists of two 160-liter tanks filled with electrolyte with positive and negative charges. It is prepared on the basis of ordinary salty sea water.

The contact of liquids leads to a reaction, as a result of which electricity is generated. It feeds the electric motor using a supercapacitor. Filling with electrolyte will take a few minutes.
