The Luxurious Skoda Enyaq: Laurin & Klement Edition Unveiled | Skoda's High-end Electric SUV
The Skoda Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe are hitting new heights with their latest Laurin & Klement variant, an epitome of refinement and advanced technology. Boasting a lavish design, top-tier fittings, and an upgraded electric powertrain available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions, this edition propels the performance and range indicators to new standards.
Signature Laurin & Klement Trims: A Nod to Skoda's Heritage
The Laurin & Klement trims are a tribute to Skoda's founders, and they signify the zenith of elegance and sophisticated features in the Enyaq range. Moving forward, Skoda is discarding the "iV" label from these model names, a decision that will apply to all future electric vehicles from the brand.
The Upgraded Design Elements: Platinum-Gray Accents and More
The new edition's hallmark bumpers come lavished with generous platinum-gray accents, enhancing the aesthetics around the air intakes and the linings. The electrified SUV is also set to sport new 20-inch, or optional 21-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, distinct L&K badges on the front fenders, and chrome-clad window frames and roof rails.
Skoda Cl User Interface: A Fresh Take on Infotainment
The Enyaq L&K introduces the novel Skoda Cl user interface, a feature set to grace all future models from the manufacturer. This upgrade incorporates a simplified menu structure, advanced navigation, and revamped colors and graphics for the infotainment touchscreen, digital instrument cluster (virtual cockpit), and head-up display.
Advanced Electric Powerplant: Efficiency Meets Power
The Enyaq L&K comes equipped with a sophisticated electric motor delivering a robust 282 hp (210 kW / 285 hp). Alongside the motor, Skoda has refined the battery with an optimized charging curve that permits it to surge from 10% to 80% charge in under 30 minutes when hooked to a fast charger. Moreover, a preheating function ensures efficient operation even in cold weather conditions.
Enhanced WLTP Range: Go the Extra Mile
The revised powertrain positively influences the Enyaq L&K's WLTP range, which now stands at an impressive 570 km (354 miles) for the AWD variant, and 550 km (342 miles) for the RWD variant. This enhanced range means the vehicle is more suited to longer journeys, providing reassurance for drivers considering the switch to electric.
Pricing and Availability: Coming Soon
Skoda has yet to reveal the prices for the new Enyaq L&K 85 and L&K 85x variants, but given the enhanced features and improvements, consumers can expect a premium over the standard model.
With its upgraded design and performance, the Laurin & Klement Skoda Enyaq is set to redefine electric vehicle luxury, marking a significant step in Skoda's commitment to a greener future.
