Mercedes-Benz Vans (this division is responsible for passenger commercial models) presented two new electric models of the brand. The serial Mercedes-Benz EQT has already been fully declassified, and the status of the concept car shows a house on wheels based on it - Mercedes-Benz Concept EQT Marco Polo, which in the status of a serial sample should go into production in 2023. At the same time, an optional Marco Polo Module "kitchen" unit is already available in EQT.
The EQT received a 122-horsepower electric motor mounted on the front axle and 45 kilowatt-hour batteries, which provides a power reserve of up to 282 kilometers without recharging. It is stated that from a terminal with a capacity of 80 kilowatts from 10 to 80%, the battery can be replenished in just 38 minutes.
As an option, the Marco Polo Module is offered, which allows you to turn the EQT into a simple mobile home. Due to the transformation of the cabin, you can get a sleeping place with a thick 10-centimeter mattress for two people, which is folded and compactly placed in the trunk. The standard equipment includes a mosquito net for windows and special curtains for glass, as well as pockets for small things on the rear racks.
