Jaguar E-type Is a New ECD Automotive Design Project

Perhaps you know the company ECD Automotive Design according to her projects for the restoration of Land Rover cars, in particular the classic Defender. The American company became famous, including the installation of powertrains from Tesla in the original cars.

This time, a company from Florida presented a restored Jaguar E-type, and also with a new electric motor borrowed from the Tesla Model 3. It develops 450 horsepower, and a battery of unknown capacity allows you to drive about 321 kilometers on a single charge. At the same time, it is possible to completely replenish it in 8 hours. Given the almost complete inability of the original sports car to electric units and not the best aerodynamics, we can say that the power reserve is quite good.

If you don't like the battery-powered Jaguar E-Type, then you can always choose the internal combustion engines offered by ECD. There is a 450-horsepower LT1 V8 engine from GM with an 8-speed gearbox, taken from a Chevrolet Corvette. Gasoline inline sixes and V12s from a variety of companies are also offered.

The cost of the ECD project for the restoration / modification of the E-type starts from $ 299,995, although, of course, the final price depends on the options that the future owner will order. However, buyers should hurry up with ordering this unusual model, as it is planned to produce only 10-12 copies per year, and at the moment nine have already been ordered.
