British Startup Munro Vehicles Presented MK_1

British startup Munro Vehicles presented its debut model MK_1. Extreme electric SUV will go into production in 2024. This is reported on the official website of the manufacturer. The New Munro MK_1 is an electric alternative to the iconic Land Rover Defender and Jeep Wrangler.


The SUV features a simple, clunky design with short body overhangs and round headlights. The body panels are made of steel with a thickness of 5 mm. The car reaches about 5 m in length with a wheelbase of 3.3 m.

The interior of the Munro MK_1 has a very simple look. There is bare metal everywhere, and the indicators are displayed on a small display. The steering wheel doesn't even have an airbag.

The Munro MK_1 electric car will be offered in versions with a capacity of 299 and 381 hp.the top speed is limited to 130 km/h, and the top version accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The SUV has a load capacity of a ton and can tow a 3.5-ton trailer.

You can choose from 61 and 82 kW batteries.H, and in the latter case, the power reserve is 306 km. Fast charging of an electric car takes 30 minutes.

All-wheel drive is supplemented with a downshift, and for an additional fee there is a differential lock. The huge ground clearance of 480 mm allows you to force Fords up to 80 cm deep.

The Munro MK_1 electric car was priced at 49,995 pounds (6 61,000). In the first year, they plan to produce 250 cars, but then they will increase production volumes to 2,500 cars annually.
