Volkswagen China reveals the new ID. Aura T6 electric SUV with Xpeng tech on board. It is a mid-size crossover with the CEA electronic architecture and a LiDAR sensor. This vehicle will make its official debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24.

The ID. Aura is a car series under the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture that was first revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025. However, the first Aura-branded concept car appeared to be an EV sedan. But in the end, it turned out that the new product from FAW-Volkswagen would be a mid-size crossover. It was named ID. Aura T6.

The FAW-Volkswagen joint venture revealed details about the ID. Aura T6 name. It turned out that Aura is actually an abbreviation that stands for Advanced, User-centric, Reliable, and All-access. The letter T means Travel, and the digit 6 refers to the “golden balance point.”
