In a market where many EVs push past 35000 dollars, roughly 32300 euros, Slate Truck tries a different lane. It strips away luxury fluff and focuses on utility, low entry cost, and room for customization. For buyers chasing an affordable electric pickup, that pitch hits hard. Slate Truck Range and Battery Options Battery choices shape the whole ownership story. The smaller 52.7 kWh pack targets about 150 miles of EPA range, or 242 kilometers. The larger 84.3 kWh battery stretches that to about 240 miles, or 386 kilometers. Both packs use NMC chemistry from SK On. For a daily commute, the smaller battery may be enough. For colder climates, longer highway runs, or less predictable charging, the larger pack looks like the smarter bet. Slate Truck Charging and NACS Access Charging is one of the strongest cards in the deck. Slate Truck uses NACS, giving owners access to Tesla style charging hardware and broad public charging compatibility. DC fast charging tops out at 120 kW, while AC home charging reaches 11 kW. In plain English, a Level 2 setup can add around 35 to 40 miles, or 56 to 64 kilometers, per hour. That makes overnight charging easy and road trip stops more manageable than many budget EV buyers might expect. Slate Truck Specs and Real Utility Power comes from a single rear motor rated at 201 horsepower, equal to 150 kilowatts, and 195 pound feet of torque, or 264 newton meters. Curb weight sits at 3602 pounds, or 1634 kilograms. Payload reaches about 1433 pounds, or 650 kilograms. That is useful truck territory, not showroom fantasy. No official towing figure is out yet, and rear wheel drive only will turn away some buyers, especially in snow country. Even so, for hauling bikes, tools, mulch, furniture, or weekend gear, numbers look practical. Slate Truck Custom Design Appeal Then there is the angle that really separates it from the pack. Slate Truck is built around a blank slate idea. Buyers start with a simple electric truck, then add wraps, accessories, and even an SUV conversion kit. That turns a basic EV pickup into something closer to a modular tool. In a market full of feature stuffed sameness, that kind of flexibility feels fresh. Several manufacturers are showing double-digit growth compared to the same period in 2024, with new-generation Chinese brands — particularly Geely and Chery — growing especially fast amid overall market expansion.BYD remains the undisputed leader, with 2.6 million vehicles delivered and a 19.9% share of the global market. Geely takes second place, delivering 1.3 million vehicles — a remarkable 68% increase year-over-year. The maker of affordable EVs now operates in 90 markets worldwide and entered Australia, Greece, and Vietnam this year. Tesla has fallen to third place, with deliveries down 11% year-over-year to 985,000 vehicles. In August 2025, Tesla’s market share in the United States dropped to 38% — the lowest level in eight years (compared to roughly 80% in 2020). Overall, five Chinese automakers now account for 43% of the global EV market in 2025. The EREV has a comprehensive range of 1,200 km. The Ford Bronco adopts a boxy shape, a BRONCO logo that can light up, hidden door handles, and a rear external spare tire. Some trims are equipped with a roof lidar for a total of 32 sensors for the onboard advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) that can realize highway and city NOA. The ADAS is supported by dual Nvidia Orin-X chips. The new car also features a pop-up roof-top tent and camping features. In October, 1.9 million NEVs were sold worldwide—8% more than in the same month in 2024. China remains the largest market, accounting for approximately 1.3 million sales last month. Sales in Europe increased by 36% compared to October 2024, reaching 372,786 units, while in North America they fell by 41%, to 100,370 units. The elimination of the $7,500 tax credit for EV buyers in the US apparently played a role here. Total sales in other countries increased by 37%, to 141,368 units. From January to October, the Chinese market grew by 22%, the European market by 32%, and the North American market by 4%. In other regions, sales of new electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids increased by 48% year-on-year over the ten months.
